A Message From Our CEO
Dear Friends of Loaves and Fishes
As I reflect on the past year, I am struck by the growing number of families in our community facing hardship. Every day, more families in our community are encountering crises—struggling to find food, shelter, safety, and hope. Although we have expanded our services and launched new programs to meet these vital needs, the demand continues to rise at an astonishing rate. Our team and resources are being pushed to their limits, but rest assured, we are committed to persevering. Together, we will not back down, we will not turn away from those in need.
Your support has been vital to our expansion, and today, we still need YOU. Families like little Rosie’s are counting on us. Rosie, her 2-month-old sister, and their mother recently found themselves with no safe place to go, forced to sleep under a bridge after fleeing an abusive home. They faced unimaginable struggles, lacking basic necessities like , shelter, and diapers—little Rosie didn’t even have shoes. Traumatized and fearful, this family barely spoke or made eye contact, their hardships weighing heavily.
With the support of people like you, this family found their way to us. Our outreach team brought them into our shelter, where they received the safety and compassion they so desperately needed. During their time here, we connected them to essential resources and helped them enter a housing program. Rosie found joy in Art Therapy, which brightened her spirit and allowed her to thrive. Her little sister, with regular meals, gained the strength she needed to grow.
Rosie’s mother also participated in life skills and financial literacy classes, learning to manage a budget and prepare for the future. When they were ready to move into their own home, we helped them cover initial utility bills and connected them with our food pantry, setting them up for lasting stability. Emergency Shelter – provides comprehensive services that help break the cycle of homelessness and offer hope for a better tomorrow
Food Pantry & Assistance Programs
Food Pantry – Providing services to senior citizens and low-income families and individuals
Rental and Utility Assistance Program – Keeping families and individuals out of homelessness.
Prevention Qualification Form – Get pre-qualified for rental and utility assistance.
Outreach Services
Outreach Services– Provides direct access to housing services for individuals currently living on the streets.
